Mind Speaks

Mind speaks
We live in an independent country and boost of being independent ,self-sufficient human being.
We have a constitution that pretends to give utmost priority to “equality”, thinks of treating its citizens as equal! In real sense it does not!!
Every time we appear for a joint entrance exam, a government job and any civil service examination there are “ reservations”. You can see students scoring less marks gets admitted in prestigious institutes , less talented gets placed better !!!
Where’s the equality?
“Social upliftment” is what that supports reservations. You have reservations in top institutes of the country but I don’t see how does that helps in the social upliftment? It does not!!!
Here I explain:
Two persons competing for a seat in an entrance examination, both of them passed high school , one with 80% and the other with 45%. The one with 45% gets through! Now my first point is: The person who gets through with such poor percentage of marks cannot adjust to the high standard of education maintained in the institutes as a result he suffers from depression and most importantly the quality as a whole drops.
Secondly a deserving candidate has been deprived. What is his fault? Just that he is born in a certain community???
All these while u must be thinking that I am against reservation. No I am not!!!! I am against the dirty game that is going on in the name of reservation in our country!!
I strongly feel that there is a need of reservation at the grass root level, in the primary education level, so that students grow up with a strong basic education and can compete at the national and international level only on the basis of talent. This comes out to be quite a fair deal isn’t it?
Here ‘s worst coming! Women who wants equality in every sphere of life, claims to be equal to men wants reservation for herself!! Why???? In bus we have “ ladies seat”, in a queue we have” ladies first” and we have women’s day , that we are paradoxically proud to celebrate!! why have a special day to celebrate and mark the contribution of women? Lets have man’s day too .Even man are not lagging behind and have already contributed a lot.
Amendments in the woman’s bill speaks about reserving quota for the Muslim women! This is nothing but a shit attempt to attract the Muslim vote bank, which by now I think all Indians are matured enough to understand ! I ask the people suggesting a separate quota for the Muslim women, does the constitution states discrimination against the citizens of India in terms of religion, caste ,creed and sex? If not then who r u????
Hmmm !!!!! The world EQUAL proves to be quite expensive!!!

  2. well said....The reservations must be made but for those who are economically backward. It should not be provided in the name of a caste to which some of the very rich people belong....

  6. Reservation policy in India is a social crime. It is "revenge discrimination" misdirected towards innocent children. Every child that is deprived of what it rightfully deserves after studying hard is a shame on all the Indian governments and people. Every self immolation and suicide incident of a student missing a seat by a few marks represents blood stains in the hands of millions of Mandalite voters.

  7. Amrita,
Yeah, we are in the world of hypocrits. It is but true that all people who feel or are slightly superior to others in some way or the other tend to shower their sympathy for the so called weaklings. That is why we have "ladies " seat/women's day/mothers day/blah blah reservations etc.It is our natural tendency to show that we are concerned for the weaklings. It is not that we really want to do something but we pretend that we are concerned!Concerned to the extent of being callous or manipulators. So let us not be bothered about what others are contemplating, because it really dosn't make a difference to most of us.So 'Carry On' to make the world a better place in spite of the negative shackles.
